Privacy Policy

MemoirAI helps you record memories and turn them into a personal storybook. Your memories are private by default. We use your information only to provide, secure, improve, and support the service, fulfill purchases, and measure marketing where you permit it.
Information we collect
- Account information: user identifier, name, email address, phone number, and sign-in provider information.
- Memoir content: recordings, transcripts, written memories, prompts, photos, profile details, family relationships, and storybook content. Profile details may include information you choose to provide about age, gender, ethnicity, appearance, or life history.
- Purchases and print orders: subscription and purchase status, book selections, shipping address, contact details, order status, and transaction identifiers. MemoirAI does not receive your full payment-card number.
- Device and usage information: device and app identifiers, notification token, feature interactions, diagnostics, approximate location inferred by service providers, and attribution events.
- Support communications: messages and details you send when requesting help.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, sync and store memories, transcribe recordings, generate and render storybooks, share memories only with people you approve, process subscriptions and print orders, send requested notifications, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, improve the app, provide support, and understand which advertising leads to subscriptions.
AI processing
When you request transcription or storybook generation, the content needed for that request may be sent to OpenAI or Google Gemini for processing. This can include audio, transcript text, prompts, profile details, and selected images. Do not include information you do not want processed for these features.
Service providers
We disclose information only as needed to operate MemoirAI. Providers include Apple iCloud and CloudKit; Google Firebase, Google Cloud, Google Sign-In, Google Places, and Gemini; OpenAI; RevenueCat; Stripe; Lulu; Mixpanel; Meta; and Apple Push Notification service. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
Tracking and advertising
MemoirAI uses Meta tools to measure advertising and subscription attribution. On iOS, advertising identifier access and cross-company tracking are enabled only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings at any time. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define permitted advertising measurement as “sharing”; contact us to exercise an applicable opt-out right.
Storage, retention, and security
Content may be stored in Firebase and in your Apple iCloud account. We keep information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. We may retain transaction, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute, and print-fulfillment records where legally or operationally required. Deletion from backups and provider systems may take additional time. We use access controls and encryption in transit, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or delete individual memories in the app, control microphone, photo, notification, speech, and tracking permissions in iOS Settings, and use the in-app account deletion control. You may also ask to access, correct, export, or delete personal information by emailing caleb5mathew@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Children
MemoirAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.
International processing
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MemoirAI changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app.
